Mindful
Leadership

A deeper, more detailed exploration of the philosophy and tools behind mindful leadership — for those ready to take the practice further.

The six sessions

01

General — a closer look at the philosophy

Do you have pressure, tension, confusion, or discomfort from life's experiences? Chau Yoder of High Spirits will lead a discussion and lesson in techniques and exercises. You'll feel great and be better equipped to manage stress — taking a leadership role in managing your health and overall wellness.

  • Deep breathing; breathing with awareness
  • Tension and release
  • Chi Gung
  • Meditation — sitting, walking, and standing
  • Self massage
02

Follow-up: Chi Gung Health Stick Exercises

A general overview — about 20 minutes of discussion, then the exercises themselves, same as session one but with Health Stick exercises added.

03

Follow-up: Applying the Philosophy

If you enjoyed the previous sessions, join us for a more in-depth exploration of the tools presented — your chance to apply the principles and philosophy you've learned. Chau leads participants through mental and physical exercises meant to increase awareness and heighten one's state of mind, building on the ability to stay in touch with the present moment and manage stress.

04

Follow-up: The Five Stages of Chi Gung

Attendees explore the five stages of Chi Gung exercise, focused on health improvement. Chi Gung is an ancient Chinese technique meaning "working on one's energy flow."

  1. Meditation
  2. Cleansing your body
  3. Energizing your chi (life energy)
  4. Circulating your chi
  5. Removing remaining stagnation
05

Follow-up: Mental and Physical Consumption

Living mindfully includes being aware of what "enters" your body, both physically and mentally. In this session, you'll practice eating consciously — identifying appropriate reasons for eating and deepening enjoyment of food — and learn to focus your attention to avoid having your emotions exploited by external stimuli like television, movies, negative talk, and advertising.

06

Follow-up: Total Relaxation

Chau leads a 45-minute guided meditation to help you achieve total relaxation. Take advantage of this relaxation opportunity.
